Boarding kennels, checked carefully

• Current trading at the licensed premises, independently corroborated. A working website or company registration alone is insufficient.
• A current dog-boarding licence verified with the issuing authority, matching the operator, premises and activity.
• An independent inspection or recognised assessment demonstrating welfare above basic compliance. We do not equate licensing with exceptional care.
• Documented staffing, overnight monitoring, veterinary emergencies, hygiene, exercise, enrichment and individual care. No unresolved material welfare concern.

These are Head & Paws admission requirements, not universal legal requirements. Legal systems differ by jurisdiction. Where the required evidence or licensing cannot be established, we do not list the kennel.

We verify documentary evidence; we do not claim to have personally inspected a kennel. Each published listing identifies the assessor, sources, dates and findings. Reviews and operator marketing cannot substitute for independent evidence. Inclusion is not a guarantee of continuing welfare or suitability for your individual dog.

England’s official four- and five-star categories both indicate higher standards; risk history also affects the rating. They are not international ratings and do not prove every optional higher standard was met.
