The old-model transition covered certificates issued before 1 October 2026, not new certificates issued now. A GB-issued AHC has a ten-day entry window with issue day counted as day one. After entry checks, onward EU validity is up to six months or rabies expiry, whichever comes first. Confirm any sea-journey extension with the certifying vet. First confirm the dog’s entry pathway, welfare and housing. Human immigration permission does not authorise animal import. Do not commit to non-refundable travel until essential requirements are established.
