Chile · Source publication:
Humane World for Animals reports that the World Health Organization has validated Chile as the first South American country to eliminate dog-transmitted rabies as a public-health problem. Its mobile clinics have delivered more than 5,000 rabies vaccinations since 2024 in underserved areas. Continuing vaccination, education and local partnerships remain essential to protect that progress.
