Working With Your Vet

Prepare for consultations, understand investigations and make informed decisions with your veterinary team.

Choose your situation

Before, during and after the consultation

Before: bring a short timeline, current medicine labels and your main questions. Explain handling, hearing, language or access needs when booking; ask what support is available.

During: ask what is known, what remains uncertain and how the proposed options could help. Discuss practical or financial constraints openly.

After: confirm the written instructions, follow-up date, signs that mean calling sooner and the out-of-hours contact. For planned procedures, use the existing recovery guidance and the treating team’s individual preparation instructions.
